kiskInstall

kisk addon

A small overlay for Aion 2 on Windows. The fights and players it sees become kisk's battles, killmails and census. It also counts your pet souls as you loot them, right in the game's loot list.

Download for Windows

Free, for 64-bit Windows 10 and 11. It needs Npcap, so read Installing it first.

Loot rows slide in at the side of the screen. A count such as 14 / 25 slides out to the left of each soul row, and fades when the row fades.
The counts on the left are the addon, and the rest is the game.

What it does

Killmails and battles

When a player dies near you in a fight with the other faction in the open world, the addon sends this site what it saw: who died, who hit or healed them in the minute before, and their HP and crowd control. The site merges what every addon there saw into one public killmail, and deaths close together into a battle.

Census

The addon also sends this site each player who comes into view, and your own character: their name, server, class, level, legion, combat power, wings and title. The census counts them by class, legion, wings and title.

Gathering

It sends each gather you make from a gathering node: where the node was and when, how the gather went, what it gave, and your gathering mastery and talents as it started. Gathering counts how often gathers go well, by material, mastery and talent.

Crafting

It sends each craft you make: the recipe, how it went, and your crafting proficiencies as it started. Crafting counts how often each recipe succeeds and combos, and how that goes with proficiency.

Drops

It sends each monster a player kills near you, and what it drops: the monster, where and when it died, the server of the player who killed it, and each drop's item and how many, with your character where you killed it or a drop was yours, but not who else killed it or whose else the drops are. Drops counts how often each monster drops each item.

Soul counts in the loot list

Aion 2 tells you that a soul dropped, but not where that leaves you. 14 / 25 beside a soul means 14 souls toward that pet's next level, which needs 25. That's 5 to register a pet, 25 for level 2 and 75 for level 3, and a pet at level 3 shows max.

Marks on monsters

A monster that drops a pet's souls gets a teal diamond after its name while that pet still needs souls, and a grey tick once the pet is at level 3, so you can see which monsters still have something for you before you fight them.

Counts in the shop

The Black Cloud Merchant sells pets, and buying one gives you its souls. While a tab with pets on it is open, each pet's card gets your count under its title, so you can see which pets you still need before you spend anything.

Where to go for souls

When you arrive somewhere, the addon names the spot nearby with the most monsters whose souls you still need, and which way it is: 600m NW of you: Sparkie and 2 more you need. While the game's map is open, it places that spot from the nearest kibelisk instead, so you know where to teleport: 200m NW of Marsh Outpost.

Hidden cubes and gathering, once you turn them on

Click the addon's icon in the notification area (a teal flame in a ring, which Windows may keep behind the ^ arrow) for its menu. "Hidden cubes" says when one is near and which way it is, often before you can see it: Hidden cube 80m E of you. "Gather" lists every material; tick some and the addon does the same for their nodes: Orichalcum Ore 40m NE of you.

Progression, once you share it

Tick "Share progression" in the addon's menu and it shares what the game tells it of your character at each login: every title you own and the ones you wear, your Genus Insight, and your pets. Your character's profile here then lists every title you have and every one you're missing, with what each does. Untick it and the addon takes it all down.

Nothing proves to this site that an upload came from that character's game, so the first addon to share a character keeps them: no other addon can replace or take down their progression until 30 days after the first one last shared it or took it down. This site stops showing progression 30 days after it was last shared, so a player who stops playing doesn't leave it up for good.

What it reads

The addon learns your counts and where you are from the packets the game server sends to your PC, and finds the loot rows, monsters' names and shop cards by looking at the game's picture on your monitor. It doesn't open or change the game's process. It asks this site for the latest version's number when it starts and every hour after, sends it killmails, the characters and drops it sees and your gathers and crafts, and shares your progression if you tick "Share progression". It sends nothing anywhere else. The privacy policy says what this site keeps of it.

It's still a third-party tool, made without NCSOFT's involvement, so running it is a risk you take with your own account.

Installing it

  1. Install Npcap. The addon listens to the game's traffic through Npcap, a free capture driver with its own installer. While installing it, tick "Install Npcap in WinPcap API-compatible Mode". The addon's installer won't go past its first page until Npcap is there.
  2. Run the addon's installer. It isn't signed, so Windows SmartScreen may say "Windows protected your PC": choose "More info", then "Run anyway".
  3. Log in to the game. kisk addon active or a place to go for souls shows above the loot list for a few seconds once it's working.

It updates itself while the game is closed. To update only when you choose to, untick "Update automatically" in its tray icon's menu. To remove it, uninstall it under Apps in Windows Settings, which takes your progression off this site too.
